What is an acid?

What is a base?
A substance that tastes bitter, feels soapy, turns red litmus blue, and has pH more than 7
What is an alkali?
A base that dissolves in water. e.g. NaOH, KOH, Ca(OH)₂
What is a neutral substance?
A substance that is neither acidic nor basic — pH equal to 7. e.g. water
What is an indicator?
A substance that changes colour in acidic or basic solutions to show nature of solution
